Whether it’s a birthday party, a family gathering, a church picnic, or a school event, our mobile petting zoo is always a hit! We have several petting zoo options to choose from to tailor your hands-on adventure to your needs.
MOBILE PETTING ZOOS
Mini Petting Zoo
This package is great for small birthday parties. Mix and match your choice of rabbits, hedgehog, guinea pigs, piglets, a duck, and a young chicken. Bottle-fed baby goats available seasonally.
Due to the more intimate nature of parties of this type, and the fragility of the baby animals, we limit this party to birthdays. The smaller enclosure can accommodate 10 people max. Larger events with bigger crowds will be referred to the Little Rancher or Big Tex.
Little Rancher
The Little Rancher is our standard petting zoo for most birthday parties and smaller festivals. We bring an assortment of rabbits, goats, a pig, young chickens, a chicken and a duck PLUS one large animal (llama, calf, mini donkey, or mini horse).
The enclosure can accommodate 20-25 people at a time.
Big Tex
For the Big Tex, we bring the same animals as the Little Rancher, but more rabbits and goats, PLUS an additional large animal (llama, calf, mini donkey, mini horse).
We recommend this party for events of 2 or more hours) and 100+ guests. This petting zoo can accommodate 35-40 people at a time, and will have one more attendant to help with larger crowds.
Super Tex
The Super Tex is our largest petting zoo package. The Super Tex includes three large animals (llama, donkey, calf, or mini horse) and can accommodate 50-60 people at a time. This package includes an additional petting zoo attendant to help with crowd control.
EXOTIC ANIMAL PRESENTATIONS
These parties differ from petting zoos and pony rides because they are typically done inside, and the attendant has spoken material to present in addition to guiding the kids in handling the animals. This package also requires different transportation and equipment.
We bring a sampling of 8-10 fascinating animals, presenting interesting facts about each, and allowing the kids to feel their fur, scales, and spines in a safe and controlled environment. This kind of party works best for kids aged 5 and up. We rarely do events like this for younger kids, instead referring them to the Babies for Babies package.
We have a list of suggested animals for each type of party, but you are always invited to substitute or mix-n-match to suit the preferences of your guests.
The exotic presentation strives to make specific educational points. For example, we’ll bring sand so the kids can watch the chinchilla take a “dust bath”, or grubs to feed the lizards.
GENTLE & FLUFFY
For the Gentle and Fluffy experience, the emphasis is on “cute and cuddly”. Some of the animals we might bring include chinchilla, cockatiels, sugar glider, roborovski “robo” hamster, ferret, and rabbit.
Just because these animals are gentle does not mean there are no handling rules. All animals with teeth are capable of biting, and all animals with claws are capable of scratching. Attendants for this party will be trained in how to supervise the handling of these animals to keep both the kids and the critters safe.
I DARE YOU
This is our party for the adventurous kids. It can include a tarantula, a tortoise, various snakes, lizards, and a hedgehog.
There are lots of fun facts to teach about these critters including the concept of “cold-blooded”, exoskeletons, ridiculously long life spans and so much more!
WORLDWIDE SAFARI
This event is actually much less hands-on and includes some of our most exotic animals that are only allowed to be handled by our presenter. The presentation typically includes a tegu, macaw, 14-foot Burmese python, and a kinkajou.
We recommend this package for audiences of 40 or more. We provide a sound system so that presenter can be heard above the guests. This event is not taken to private birthday parties and these animals cannot typically be substituted into hands-on presentations.
